Bethany's 4 Months!

This is late, but I've been busy. We had Bethany's 4-month check-up Thursday, the 19th. She was 25 1/2" long, 18 lbs 6 oz.!!! And I was going to ask the Dr. if she thought she was teething, because I've been suspecting it, but wasn't sure because it's still kind of early. But before I even mentioned it, Dr. Chandler said it looks like she is teething so I'll want to give her some Tylenol when she seems bothered by it. So she IS teething! FYI--Dr. Chandler also said NOT to use Baby Orajel, because she had a patient come in BLUE after using it. She didn't say whether the child died or was revived...but regardless...don't use it! And then she get her shots and of course, that's not fun. Raegan went with us this time, and she did well. I brought her doctor books and stethoscope and thermometer and syringe from her doctor's kit. And she played doctor right along side Dr. Chandler.

Here's some close-to-4-month pictures (I forgot to do some on the actual day).

And a Wild-Hair Picture!
And Here's some belated Valentine's pictures we did.

Does anyone know the recipe for the Chocolate Chip Pizza at Double Dave's??? I really want to make some at home from time to time, instead of going to eat there every time I just have to have some Chocolate Chip Pizza!

Just had to share this...

I just finished watching Rachael Ray from yesterday on the DVR, and wow! Stories like the Logelin's just get to me like nothing else. In case you didn't see it, this guy Matt lost his wife just 27 hours after she gave birth to their daughter, due to a blood clot. I hate to hear stories like these. Well, Matt and Madeline (the baby) are doing well, but I know there's an empty spot in their day, every day. My ob/gyn, Leslie Parks, past away suddenly just weeks after delivering Bethany, leaving behind her 23 month-old twins and stay-at-home-husband. I guess that is partly why it bothers me so much. Because Raegan is their age, so I just cannot (or don't want to) imagine. Not to mention, Matt not having his best friend by his side anymore. So my heart really goes out to them.

Here's some links for his blog, their foundation in his wife's name, and another story I read not long ago.

Last night we were watching Biggest Loser, and a commercial for Cindy Crawford's Rooms-To-Go furniture came on and her face flashed on the screen. Raegan goes, "That's mommy!" LOL I said, "You're soooo sweet, Raegan!" But she made me feel extra good for a minute and we got a good laugh out of that!

Fun Day

Today, even though rainy and dark, was fun. First we went and had lunch with my friend Beverly, for her Birthday! We went to Farm House, in Huntsville, which is always good! Brent decided to join us...poor Brent...He got to spend his lunch hour disciplining Raegan! LOL She got upset when we asked her to sit on her bottom in the chair. So Brent had to hold her at first and then when she still didn't calm down, he got to go sit in the car with her. Poor Brent! So when he had to leave to go back to work, I took him his food and took Raegan back in the restaurant. Then we juggled kids, as Raegan was wanting to go back and forth between us. I'm sure we probably got a few laughs! But lunch was good!

Then after Bethany went to sleep for a good nap, Raegan and I made Valentine's Cupcakes! I haven't made cupcakes in a long time, but I've been antsy for Raegan to get old enough that I can start baking with her and doing holiday crafts with her. Yes...I know, I'm cheesy! So, here are some pictures of us doing that. She didn't want to lick the beater, which was always my favorite part of baking! But she still has time to grow into that! And once she accidentally got a taste of the icing, she liked it. I let her have one as soon as we got done, because let's face it...even I can't resist FRESHLY baked anything! Then as she slowly ate her cupcake over the next 30-45 minutes, I constantly heard "Wummy", "I Wike it", "Tupcake". Raegan's in this phase where she's repeating herself over and over and over and over...so I literally meant constantly! LOL She's so cute!

Funny things the Kiddos Do...

As I get time, I thought I would share some short stories and videos about some of the funny things my kids have done. Today I wanted to share this video of Raegan making her "rooster" sound. It was hilarious at the time! And the way she acts afterward is even funnier to me...like Ahh..that was a lot of work, now what?

And a funny story about Bethany...a lot of you have probably had this happen to you, but it was a first for me! When she was maybe 3-5 weeks old, Raegan was asleep and I was having some time with Bethany. Well, for some reason, I decided I wanted to listen to her little heart beating, because it's so fast, it's just neat! So I put my ear down on her chest to listen, with my face facing her face....And then she projectile vomited on my face! LOL It wasn't a whole lot, so gratefully, it was easy to clean up. But I learned my lesson-don't lay your heavy head on a baby's belly just after they ate!

Product GiveAways!

I came across this cool blog from a lady who has an annual grocery budget of $800! WOW! So I'm trying to learn from her! Anyway, she's always giving away products to try out, so I figured I'd share the love (and the link)!

As for me...I haven't been up to much lately. I took advantage of a free picture deal on the internet and ordered 100 of Bethany's first pictures. (Yes, there's already more than 100!) And I got them in the mail yesterday, so now my project for today has been to write the dates/names, etc on the backs and put them in her album!

And here's some more pictures!
